3.10 WOLVERHAMPTON 9F 0-60 HANDICAP CLASS 6 :
The most interesting runner here looks to be the inform MINSTREL LAD who has put in three solid efforts recently ,including winning over C&D at Wolverhampton back in November .Looked unlucky last time at Kempton when finishing third, getting squeezed out in closing stages .Looks fairly treated off just 1LB higher mark .
4.10 WOLVERHAMPTON 6F 0-70 FILLIES HANDICAP CLASS 5:
The Charles Hills trained BABS PRINCESS has some solid form over 6 furlongs ,including winning handicap at Goodwood in June off mark 65 .Returned to form last time finishing good third over C&D at Wolverhampton ,that form has been boosted with fourth horse Hannah's Turn bolting up in handicap at Southwell yesterday .Should go well in weaker looking race.

It may not have made a huge difference but couldn't understand why the jockey positioned Minstrel Lad to run quite wide for most of the race after being on the rails in the early stages. Could have made the place a touch closer.
ReplyDeleteI think after getting hampered last time at Kempton ,the jockey wanted to make sure they got clear run ,saying that he did lose ground going so wide ,though to be honest he didn't really find much in straight .Bit disappointing nevermind .
