Saturday 26th January each-way double bet

On Saturday we have each-way double bet at Lingfield ,the two races are 8 furlong maiden at 12.20 & 12 furlong maiden at 12.50 .

The first leg of the double is 8 furlong maiden at 12.20 .SILVER DIXIE finished promising fourth last time in what looked decent maiden behind the useful El Buen Turista . That form looks very solid with Winner ,Third, Fifth & Sixth all winning races next time.Looks open to plenty improvement .Odds around 10-3 look very fair in this maiden.

The Michael Wigham trained St Georges Hill has been well supported this morning ,though the trainer is not usually known for first time out maiden winners.


Moving on to the second leg of the double .The 12 furlong maiden at 12.50 .HARLESTONE WOOD has finished second three times ,including over course & distance last time ,just getting touched off by Megastar .On official handicap ratings is 7LB clear and should be difficult to beat .In what looks weak maiden.

Wednesday 23nd January each-way double bet

On Wednesday we finally have each-way double bet the two races of interest are 1 mile claiming stakes at 1.00 and 1 mile 4 furlong maiden stakes at 2.00 Lingfield .

The first leg of the double the 1 mile claiming stakes at 1.00 . RED SOMERSET won five times in 2012, goes well in this grade and was an easy winner of 1 mile selling stakes on Monday at Wolverhampton.

Course specialist Paphos looks the danger after winning his last two starts at the track ,though this looks stronger race and has bit to find at the weights .

The second leg of the double the 1 mile 4 furlong maiden stakes at Lingfield .This looks weak maiden with three contenders .

LINKABLE returned to form last time finishing good second over course and distance in handicap behind Jacob Son .That form looks solid at this level with the winner Jacob Son having won three races at the track .Odds around 4-1 look very fair value in this weak looking maiden .

Viola de Gamba looks possible danger having been placed 8 times, and finished fair third in 1 mile 4 furlong handicap behind Kames Park last time at Wolverhampton , though at around 9-4 looks poor value for horse still a maiden after 19 starts .

Of the others Story Writer looks open to improvement after finishing second on debut in maiden at Wolverhampon ,though that looked very weak race with winner only rated 50 .
